Singapore 2010 - Is this the state we will be in?

Is this really the state Singapore will be in in Year 2010?

Won't it be a pretty sad side? What do you think?

  1. yeah...me thinks its super accurate. I can't believe how much we have to pay just to drive a freaking car now.

I have a colleague who just had enough of it and left his car at home to take the bus to work.. :(

And to make things worst, cab fares are up, buses are usually caught in the jam (and oh the drivers really need to take a refresher course)..and as for MRT..well I normally don't take MRT but it should still be as bad too with the crowd and all eh? ;)

So much for public transport too

  2. It's horrendous, yes but this is part and parcel of being an a developing country (perhaps we are already developed-ed)... compounded by the fact that we are so small and the population, mind u, will only keep on growing.

But come to think of it, if people give up cars for other modes of public transport, we'll rid ourselves of pollution.

The thing about this issue that irks me is that only the rich will have cars and these ERP gantries/higher transportation prices will affect the lower and middle income gap the most. It hardly affects the higher income group. Perhaps, yes we do really live in an unfair unequal world!

  3. I'll rather be zipping around in my Segway. Unless they mandate putting IU units in all bicycles and Segways too... :( That will be a sad day.

  6. You painted a more optimistic picture than I did. I envisioned an ERP gantry right at the door of each household.
